- Thursday - 8am - 5pm
- Friday - 8am - 6pm
Please try to arrive about 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. This will allow ample time for you to be booked in and ready. Arriving earlier will not result in earlier treatment.
We are located on the corner of Drummond and Queensberry Streets, Carlton (see Google map at the bottom of this page).
As part of the preparations for the Metro Tunnel project, a number of changes to roads in the Parkville/Carlton area will impact travel time to/from the Foundation.
Road widening works in Queensberry Street has resulted in the removal of the median strip which had 2-hour parking spots. There is now limited meter parking. Ample paid parking is available Melbourne Museum located in nearby Rathdowne Street.
Please visit the Metro Tunnel website and plan your journey.
Train - City loop train to Parliament station. Use the Lonsdale Street exit, and walk along Spring Street and through the Carlton (Exhibition) Gardens.
Tram - The nearest tram stops are Swanston Street (the Queensberry St stop), Nicholson St at the Melbourne Museum or Victoria Parade at Rathdowne St.
Bus Routes - 207, 250, 251, 402
If you are having surgery, it is most important that you do not go home alone.
Please arrange for a relative or friend to come with you in a car or taxi. You must not go home on public transport or drive following your surgery.
Dermatology Registrars Involved in Patient Care
We provide world-class clinical care for our patients. Patients are reminded that highly qualified doctors training to become dermatologists may be involved in your care.
The Skin & Cancer Foundation Inc is a centre of excellence in dermatology and all Victorian dermatology registars undertake their training at the Foundation. These highly qualified dermatology registrars will be working closely with, and overseen by, senior consultant dermatologists, many of whom are regarded as world-leaders in their speciality.
Please note that we do not provide consultations for, or treat, children under the age of 18 years at the Foundation. There are alternative treatment options available at the Royal Children's Hospital and private dermatologists' rooms.
Most clinics at the Skin & Cancer Foundation Inc require a referral from a specialist dermatologist.
The only clinics that can be referred directly by a general practitioner are the Hyperhidrosis and Skin Cancer Assessment Clinics. If you do not have a valid referral, you will incur greater out-of-pocket charges.
There is an online Patient Referral form available for specialists or GPs to use. Alternatively they can download a Referral Form here and then print and complete.
